Ruth Stratton (Revitt) was born June 15, 1909 in East Rutherford New Jersey. She flew as a private pilot around the New York City area during the 1930s and early 1940s.

She entered WASP training with class 43W5. After WASP training she married and had two children. She worked for This Week Magazine (part of the Sunday New York Herald Tribune) and later for Teachers College Of Columbia University.

Although she did not fly after her marriage she remained very adventurous and interested in aviation. She had five grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Ruth Stratton (Revitt) died in November 1998 at Ithica, New York.
